Ultra-Low Emissions refer to the process in which coal-fired boilers in thermal power plants adopt high-efficiency, integrated pollutant removal systems during power generation and end-of-pipe treatment. This technology ensures that atmospheric pollutant emission concentrations meet the emission limits of gas turbine units. Specifically, the emission concentrations of particulate matter, sulfur dioxide (SO), and nitrogen oxides (NOx) (at 6% reference oxygen content) do not exceed 5 mg/m³, 35 mg/m³, and 50 mg/m³, respectively. These levels represent reductions of 50%, 30%, and 50% compared to the special emission limits for key regions specified in the Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Thermal Power Plants (GB13223-2011). This sets a new benchmark for clean production in coal-fired power generation units.

The system's analyzers use Thermo Fisher Scientific's (formerly Thermo Electron Corporation) 43i Pulsed UV Fluorescence SO Analyzer and 42i Chemiluminescence NO-NO-NOx Analyzer. A single monitoring system integrates a platform probe, gas pretreatment unit, industrial control computer, LCD display, and data acquisition instrument to perform data reception, storage, display, and transmission.
Additionally, this system has obtained the China Environmental Protection Product Certification (CCEP) issued by the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, meeting the regulatory requirements of the environmental protection industry.

principle of system monitoring
The flue gas is extracted from the flue duct through a dedicated heated sampling probe and transported to the flue gas analyzer cabinet's pretreatment system via an integrated electrically heated sampling tube (maintained at 160-200°C). In the pretreatment system, the flue gas undergoes dust removal, dehumidification, pressure stabilization, and flow stabilization before being distributed to analyzers for SO, NOx, CO, CO, and O for analysis.
- SO is analyzed using the 43i Pulsed UV Fluorescence Analyzer.
- NO-NO-NOx is analyzed using the 42i Chemiluminescence Analyzer.
- CO and CO are analyzed based on infrared absorption principles.
- O is analyzed using either the electrochemical method or the paramagnetic principle.
The dehumidification system adopts a dual phosphoric acid compressor condenser for condensation and moisture removal. This process brings the flue gas passing through the condenser to an acid saturation state, effectively preventing even trace amounts of condensate from absorbing SO.
