Common faults and solutions

 

Fault 1: Unable to Detect at Low Concentration

Solutions:

  1. Turn the device on in clean air.
  2. Confirm whether the target gas exists at the site.
  3. If the gas is not detected:
    • Introduce nitrogen or perform zero-point calibration in clean air.
    • Test immediately after calibration.
  4. If the gas still cannot be detected after zero-point calibration, restore the factory settings.
  5. If restoring factory settings does not resolve the issue:
    • Introduce nitrogen again or recalibrate the zero point in clean air.
    • Test immediately after calibration.
  6. If the above steps fail, contact the manufacturer's after-sales service team for further assistance.
 

Fault 2: Inaccurate Detection

Solutions:

  1. Verify the accuracy of the gas concentration at the site:
    • Use standard gas to confirm the instrument's accuracy.
    • Alternatively, send the device to a third-party measurement agency for testing.
  2. If the sensor has been used for a long time:
    • Measurement errors may occur as the sensor nears the end of its service life.
    • Confirm with the manufacturer whether the sensor can still be used.
    • If the sensor's lifespan is almost over, it may function temporarily after calibration but fail again shortly. In such cases, replacing the sensor is recommended.
 

Fault 3: Alarm Triggers at 0 Value or Below the Alarm Threshold in Clean Air

Solutions:

  1. Check if the alarm threshold has been modified.
  2. Confirm whether the alarm mode or type has been changed.
  3. Identify the alarm type:
    • Concentration Alarm: Displays "AL" or "AH" on the screen, and the red indicator light flashes.
    • Fault Alarm: The yellow indicator light activates.
  4. If the alarm is caused by user modifications:
    • Restore factory settings to resolve the issue.
    • For fault alarms, further checks are needed to identify issues such as short circuits, open circuits, poor contact, or sensor failures.
    • If necessary, send the device back to the manufacturer for inspection.
